This forum was added to the site so we can have conversations where both the questions and responses are preserved for reference. Eventually clerks will be turning here and searching first to see if a topic has already been discussed - if it has they can comment or ask more questions but if the subject has not yet come up the searching clerk will start his/her own thread. Please note there are two categories - one for business related items and one more focused on socializing. We have taken some measures to keep the forum private (you must register and log in to use it.) However, we cannot control who has access to every clerk's computer or if each clerk protects his/her user ID and password. As in any discussion with peers, you might want to watch what you say lest you get misquoted or the comment gets repeated back to someone you mentioned. (Let's keep it clean, folks, no personal attacks and don't air the dirty laundry!) Generally speaking, this is "for us and by us" and can be a great tool for clerks to share information across the Commonwealth! To keep up to date with a discussion, you choose if you want an email notification each time someone responds to your question and you can unsubscribe from any thread if you loose interest. As always, items discussed here are not intended as legal advice and you should consult your city attorney before making any changes based on anything you learn here. The website administrator will monitor the forum on a regular basis and may remove any objectionable comments. The KMCA President will have final say on what is permissible.
